Happening this month at Oakwood Arts

This month we are excited to be involved in many events around town! We will be setting up our booth at both the Binford Arts + Music Festival for participants to color their own character that will be combined to create a collaborative dance animation! We will also be at the creative kids hangout at the Richmond Night Market This Saturday June 8th, where we will be creating prototype inventions out of recycled materials. Also happening this weekend, June 8th-9th is the VMFA Family Day, where community members can celebrate the music, artistic traditions, and culture of Mali! Interested families can contact us to sign up for the shuttle from Church Hill to the VMFA.

Coming up on June 14th, you can also join us at "In the Sun Again", The Robinson Theaters Community day and Block Party celebrating Church Hill. Oakwood will be running a photo-booth and sharing information about our summer programs and our East End Quilt Collective Project. Hope to see you there! We’ve also got a few more events in the works for the season—sign up for our newsletter for updates!
